VTHO pays for computation on VeChainThor

Transfers, contract calls and other on-chain actions consume VTHO. That gives the token a direct relationship with network resource usage: more activity can increase demand for transaction capacity, while fee-policy changes can alter how much VTHO a given operation requires.

VET and VTHO serve different economic roles

VeChainThor separates the network’s primary value and staking asset, VET, from the gas token used for operations, VTHO. When comparing the two, do not assume that a move in VET must produce the same percentage move in VTHO; their demand drivers and market liquidity can differ.

Issuance and burning belong in any VTHO supply analysis
